Projection mapped multi-layered lasercut wood art. In three different intricate gothic window panels, I tell the story of how a star in born.
Each gothic window lets you peer into the moment a star is born. A fantastical story of a tiny woodland sprite who’s destined to join her sisters and brothers in the sky.
This installation is told through layered, lasercut wood. Each panel carved to create depth, shadow, and shifting perspective. Hand-painted surfaces catch projected light, animating roots, leaves, and paths as the story unfolds. Projection mapping gently helps the layers breath and form, transforming solid wood into living light and guiding viewers from forest hollow to open sky. Through cut, color, and illumination, the piece explores transformation. From a tiny little light on the earthy floor to something large and eternal.
