Live Music: Portland Samba at World Trade Center

Portland Samba presents an energizing homage to Rio de Janeiro & Northeastern Brazil in its 3rd annual showcase at the Portland Winter Light Festival.

We honor the culture, rhythms, and dance of Brazil with our 2026 presentation, with references to multiple samba schools, including Acadêmicos do Salgueiro, Estação Primeira De Mangueira, Imperatriz Leopoldinense, and Beija Flor de Nilópolis. In addition, you will hear Afro samba rhythms from Bahia in this year’s show.  We share what we have learned from our teachers in Brazil with gratitude and love, and a spirit of intentional joy in community.
