PDXWLF Shines on the Global Stage: Featured by American Express Essentials

We’re thrilled to share that the Portland Winter Light Festival was featured in American Express Essentials’ global travel story, Glow Beyond: 12 Dazzling Light Festivals to Visit.
Out of festivals spanning Europe, Asia, and Australia, ours was the only one selected from North America. Seeing Portland highlighted alongside iconic celebrations in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and Sydney is both humbling and exhilarating.
When we launched the festival, we looked to those international light events for inspiration. A decade later, being recognized among them is a wonderful reminder that the creativity, collaboration, and community spirit in Portland truly make the city glow every winter.
We are so grateful to our artists, volunteers, and attendees—this honor belongs to all of you!
