Seed #4

This piece is the 4th in an experiment of form. Though each seed is quite geometric, their curves and progression speak in an organic manner.

This piece consists of forty five feet tall “seed” lanterns named as such because they look akin to a fennel seed. The seeds are strung through the trees that snake through a small section of Oregon Park. This installation’s large size, movement, and simple elegance will draw together people who pass through the park into an arena of wonder and beauty, illuminating the beauty of the winter branches. The seeds create both a spectacle and a space to enter at the same time. It will be a great piece to visit during the day as well.
