Rainbow Owl Gobo
Feb 6-14, 6 PM–12 AM
Someone said, The eye is the window to the soul. As someone who doesn’t believe in souls, I say, eyes are a conduit between living things.
This project began with a simple idea:
Get people to stop looking down — and start looking up.
We spend so much time buried in our phones, trapped by tech that was meant to connect us but often isolates us instead. In doing so, we miss everything around us: the architecture, the flowers, the colors, the people, the possibility of connection.
I wanted to interrupt that downward gaze — to give people a reason to pause, look up, and see the beauty that’s already here.
Take a breath. Look around. Things aren’t as bad as they seem.
It’s all perspective.
Thank you to Downtown Clean & Safe for supporting this project.
And deep thanks to Melvin Mark for turning off the lights on your buildings — giving us the canvas to light up the night.
