Portland Revels Celebrates LIGHT! at The Royal Sonesta

Portland Revellers celebrate the “return of the light” in winter, through songs, dances, skits and comedy that drive the dark away.

The Portland Revels performing arts organization celebrates the seasons through song, dance, story and ritual of the past and present, creating community across generations and cultures.

At the 2026 Portland Winter Lights Festival, small groups of Revellers & friends will share short musical performances that showcase how a variety of cultures and traditions celebrate the lengthening days after the longest night of the Winter Solstice . . . the literal and metaphorical “return of the light”.
