Point A to Point Z

A light “blender” contorts, twists, minces, chops, and dices projected light, filling a room like a smoothie.

Think of this as a prism: a small piece of glass that can break an incoming light ray into a spread of unanticipated information. Using many computer controlled servo motors, multiple hanging reflective mylar strips are twisted and redirected in varying rhythms. Small panels of incoming projected light, now reflected in all directions, fill the walls, floor, ceiling, and windows of the entire space with kinetic light in a three dimensional collage. We hope to incorporate an interactive opportunity for viewers to use their cell phone flashlight to temporarily control the behavior of the machine.
