Lite It Be at CORE Bar & Food Carts

We invite you to join us in lighting up new neon art on 82nd Ave, may the lantern walk composed by you and I be our guide in the darkest hours.

Artists Qi You and Envy Estacio with Canton Grill Memorial present exclusive neon art made for the heart of East Portland. This was made possible through collaborations with local neon shop Artico Lite and CORE – Bar & Food Carts.

From honoring the legacy of Canton Grill to fostering a new iconography for the community, these custom neon will remind us there is light in the dark through driving day by day. Families after dinner or a neighborhood stroll through the Jade District often wish for the street to be a little brighter. Crossing the street, after the truck is roaming by, you see another family with the same lantern, flashing like a heart beat with the same rhythm. Here is a gift to you from Qi and Envy before this Lunar New Year.

OPEN HOUSE: Feb 12
6:00 PM – Canton Grill Memorial open house Exhibition at Core Bar+Food Carts.
Around 7:00 PM, the project will be introduced and lantern sets distributed.
At 8:00 PM, we will light up the permanent neon installations.
After that, guests who receive lanterns will be invited to participate in a group lantern walk.

Check out another new neon piece on 82nd Ave.
The Canton Mascot will be lit up at APANO – 8188 SE Division St, Portland, OR, 97206
