Nostrana lights up l’Orto, its Farm+Garden, with Milan-based duo Carnovsky’s glowing RGB installation, plus an outdoor bar pop-up and surprises.

For the Portland Winter Light Festival, Nostrana transforms l’Orto into an immersive world of color and light with a glowing installation by Milan-based duo Carnovsky, creators of the iconic RGB series beloved by design enthusiasts since 2010. Their work reveals hidden imagery through shifting colored light, creating layered, dreamlike scenes.

We’ve admired Carnovsky for over a decade—their RGB designs have quietly lived in Enoteca Nostrana for years (IYKYK). Last winter, we deepened that connection with Atmospheric No. 10, first shown at Milan Design Week in 2013. Installed on a shipping container, the piece appears as a serene skyscape by day and transforms into a luminous, otherworldly experience by night. Join us in l’Orto for art & cocktails.
