Creativity as a Catalyst

The Portland Events and Film Office at Prosper Portland believes what we live every day at PDXWLF: art and events don’t just brighten a city—they strengthen it. They bring people downtown, lift up local businesses, and remind us what’s possible when creativity takes center stage.

Their support helps spark those connections: residents stepping into the city on cold nights, kids discovering something inspiring, visitors seeing Portland in a whole new light. It all adds up to a more vibrant, more resilient community.

Celebrating the People Who Make It Happen

This year’s theme, All The Little Things, is a love letter to every artist, volunteer, technician, maker, and staff member who pours their talent into the Festival. Prosper Portland celebrates the hundreds of hands behind the scenes who make PDXWLF the joyful, surprising experience it is.

We are excited to celebrate this eleventh year and celebrate with the hundreds of artists, staff, and volunteers that make PDXWLF possible. You make Portland proud!

Continuing to Lift Portland Up

Prosper Portland and the Portland Events & Film office’s support is more than sponsorship—it’s a vote for Portland’s creative future. Every February, when the lights come on and the city hums with magic, that commitment helps make the glow possible.

A community-powered event

Thanks to support from individuals like you- families, local businesses, art-lovers, community partners and sponsors, the Light Festival exists.

  • Present over 200 FREE light-based art installations and performances citywide
  • Support emerging and established artists with stipends and production resources
  • Activate public spaces, small businesses and vacant storefronts during winter
