Tiny Shimmers
Feb 6-7 & 13-14, 6–10 PM
In a dark world, it only takes a little bit of light to make a big difference. Take turns adding your own light to this interactive display.
What adds tiny shimmers of light to your world? In this interactive piece, viewers flip switches to add and remove light from the full design, shifting solitary outlines of isolation and darkness into colorful images of connection, collaboration, and joy. Bringing in elements of shadow puppetry and theatrical lighting design, “Tiny Shimmers” gives viewers the opportunity to create a dynamic collage of feelings and experiences using light, color, and shape. The darkness is transformed from a stagnant trap into a playful canvas, helping us to imagine new ways of bringing tiny shimmers of light into the world.
