Pieces of Nippon

Inspired by the imagery of the streets of Japan, Perry’s neon work captures moments of the visual experience of Japan’s urban landscape. These moments consist of a construction site’s flashing warning sign, the graphic of a tobacco stand, and signs left over from other times that still hold the same messages for generations.
