Living Light
Feb 6-7 & 11 – 14, 6–10 PM, Fri/Sat till midnight
A living projection generating visuals in real time, shaped by human movement and those interacting with it.
Living Light is a real-time generative projection built using TouchDesigner and StreamDiffusion. The visuals are generated from a set of pre-selected text prompts inspired by “All the Little Things”. These prompts describe small visual elements and qualities that the system continuously combines and reinterprets.
A Kinect depth camera reads people in the space as moving silhouettes. As visitors move in front of the projection, their motion and form influence how the imagery changes on the wall. Color, texture, and form shift continuously based on what is happening in the space.
Living Light looks at how simple motion and visual forms can interact to create something new over time.
