Beauchene Decay

Come explore insects, fungus, and even crystals that make way for decay in a black light display-a neon celebration of the cycle of death and life!

Beauchene Decay is inspired from the famous anatomy model, the Beauchene skull. Much like the the exploded, disarticulated nature of the model, glowing beetles and shimmering flies are suspended around our studio assistant skeleton while colorful patterns of grubs, fungus, and bacteria bring it all into frame.

While is it easy to notice the macro systems that make up our day -to -day routine, its important to know there are elaborate systems in the micro that make the macro possible.

This window display is designed and assembled by JD Cox of Grave Raiment Studio. The print studio opened in downtown in July 2025 as a retail and creative space featuring work of local artists as well as hosting classes, workshops and pop up events.
