Join community at The T-Horse at Electric Blocks

The T-Horse is a mobile tea house that extends its wings to create a temporary gathering space to slow down, sip free tea and create art in community.

People have been gathering around tea for centuries. At City Repair, our mission is to empower communities to reclaim public space. The T-Horse enables us to make a community plaza anywhere we go. The T-Horse is an ephemeral structure to support the placemaking movement, an approach to the community driven design of public spaces that promotes connection, happiness, and well being. This imaginative community project has been lighting up the streets of Portland for over a decade.

We serve tea from a structure connected to small truck bed, with wings made of bamboo and reclaimed sailcloth extending in all directions to create shelter and a magical atmosphere to gather around, where we host open discussions and participatory art.
