Portal to the Deep
“Portal to the Deep” is an all-ages interactive game in which players move their bodies in physical space and real-time to navigate a virtual sea creature through an aquatic world brought to life with digital projection. The game is hosted in Mississippi Workshop’s open-air courtyard, a neighborhood “pocket park” and venue for diverse performances and special events. The installation utilizes computer vision technology and projection mapping to transform the courtyard into an underwater world of light and movement, blurring the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds.
