Join us in making the 10th Anniversary of the Portland Winter Light Festival an unforgettable experience! This free, all-ages event is powered by volunteers who bring light, art, and community to life during the darkest time of year.
Whether you’re an Art Guardian, Wayfinder, Donation Dynamo, or Info Booth star, you have a role. Perfect for individuals or groups—plus, it’s a great way to connect and shine!
We’ll need volunteers for the following positions:
- Merchandise Sales
- Information Booth
- Crowd Counters
- Art setup/strike
- Crowd direction & Wayfinding

Lumens Giving Circle
It takes many lumens to light up Portland. We invite community-minded individuals to join the Lumens Giving Circle and help the Portland Winter Light Festival shine!

Members of the Lumens Giving Circle will:
- Receive an invitation to attend the VIP party to kick off the Portland Winter Light Festival with a guest

Light festivals have proven to be cultural and economic catalysts for host cities. In its eighth year, the Portland Winter Light Festival experienced remarkable growth, attracting 274,000 attendees in 2024.
The festival spans two weekends in February, featuring pop-up art across Portland with focal points in the central city. This event stimulates community involvement downtown and in neighborhood business districts, driving tourism and exploration throughout Portland.
