The Portland Winter Light Festival is held at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in Southeast Portland.
1945 SE Water Ave.
Portland, OR 97214-3354
Due to the high popularity of the Portland Winter Light Festival, we strongly encourage all attendees to consider taking public transportation to the event. Parking is limited and the event is very centrally located for streetcar, light rail, bus route and bike path access.
The Portland Streetcar is sponsoring FREE RIDES after 5pm, Feb 1st – Feb 4th, 2017! Hop on at any Streetcar in the Portland system and ride to the Festival site (A Loop and B Loop stops at OMSI) — no tickets required!
Free streetcar rides are for the Portland Streetcar system only. Fare required for any TriMet MAX and bus rides throughout the system.
The Portland Spirit and the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler will both be providing complimentary cruises in the evening to and from the east and west banks of the Willamette for those attending the festival. See the schedule here!
How to get here by bus: The 9-Powell Blvd and 17-Holgate/Broadway bus lines drop you off directly in the heart of the festival! (Select the OMSI/Water Ave stop) Meanwhile, the 4-Division/Fessenden, 6-ML King Jr Blvd, 14-Hawthorne and 15-Belmont/NW 23rd bus lines will drop you off just two blocks away (get off at the Hawthorne Bridge stop).
If public transportation is not an option, limited parking lot access will be available. See our parking map below, including Zidell Yards on the West Side of the River which hosts our Fire Art Garden. Park at Zidell Yards and take the Portland Street Car to the East Side for FREE!
